Terms of Service – Modern Audience Conference (modernaudience.org)
Last updated: 14th February 2026
These Terms of Service (the Terms) apply to your use of modernaudience.org, including buying tickets, creating a MemberPress account, accessing the livestream, chat, and lifetime video-on-demand recordings (VOD).
1) Who we are
This website and the Modern Audience Conference (MAC) service are operated by Bellyfeel Media Limited (we, us, our).
Contact: datainfo@bellyfeel.co.uk
Address: 53 Westcott Avenue, Manchester, M20 1EU, UK
2) Accepting these Terms
By using the site or buying a ticket, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site or purchase access.
3) Accounts and access
- Access to the livestream, chat, and VOD is provided via a MemberPress account linked to the email address used at checkout.
- You must provide accurate information and keep your login secure.
- You must not attempt to bypass access controls or share credentials with others.
- We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms.
4) Tickets, pricing, and what you get
When you buy a ticket, you receive:
- Access to the live online event during the scheduled livestream window, and
- Lifetime VOD access to recordings made available via your MemberPress account (see section 7).
Prices are shown at checkout. Payment is taken immediately. Your payment provider may apply their own terms.
5) Refunds and cancellations
We aim to keep this simple and fair. The following rules apply.
Refunds and cancellations – headlines (plain English)
- Changed your mind? Refund up to 24 hours before we go live.
- If we cancel MAC, you get a refund – no questions.
- If you can’t make it live, no problem – lifetime access to the recordings is included.
- If a top-billed speaker cancels, you can claim a refund – request it by the end of the livestream day.
- If our livestream has a major technical failure, you can claim a refund – request it by the end of the livestream day.
- If your own connection/device blocks the stream, we can’t refund for that – but you’ll still get the recordings and we’ll try to help on the day.
- After the livestream day, refunds aren’t available just because you didn’t enjoy it – because you still have lifetime VOD access.
The detail
5.1 Change of mind
You may request a refund up to 24 hours before the scheduled livestream start time. After that point, change-of-mind refunds are not available.
5.2 If we cancel
If we cancel the event and do not deliver it, you are entitled to a refund.
5.3 If a top-billed speaker cancels
Our line-up may change. If a top-billed speaker cancels and does not appear in any form (live or pre-recorded) during the event, you may request a refund, provided you request it by 23:59 (UK time) on the event date. For clarity, top-billed speakers are those named on the ticket sales page under Top-billed speakers at the time you purchased your ticket.
5.4 Major technical failure on our side
If there is a major technical failure on our side that materially prevents delivery of the livestream as scheduled (for example, the stream is unavailable for a prolonged period), you may request a refund, provided you request it by 23:59 (UK time) on the event date.
5.5 User-side technical issues
You are responsible for your internet connection, device, browser/software, and any network restrictions (for example workplace/school firewalls). Where access problems are caused by factors outside our control, refunds are not available. We will provide reasonable support where possible, and you will still have VOD access.
5.6 How to request a refund
Email refund@modernaudience.org from the email address used at checkout with your order details. We may request reasonable information to identify your purchase.
5.7 Processing time
Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method. Bank/payment processing times vary.
6) Livestream and chat conduct
If chat (or any community feature) is provided, you agree:
- not to harass, threaten, abuse, or discriminate
- not to post illegal content, spam, or malicious links
- not to share personal data about others (doxxing)
- not to impersonate someone else
- to follow moderator instructions
We may remove content or suspend access if needed to keep the event safe and usable.
7) Recordings and “lifetime” VOD
- Your ticket includes lifetime access to VOD recordings via your account.
- “Lifetime” means for as long as MAC and its platform continue to operate and we have the rights and practical ability to host the recordings.
- Some sessions may be edited or removed where required (for example rights restrictions, legal requests, or third-party takedowns). Where this happens, we will remove only what we must.
8) Intellectual property
- The MAC name, branding, site content, and recordings are owned by us or licensed to us.
- You may watch the event and recordings for personal use. You must not copy, re-host, distribute, sell, or publicly show the recordings without permission.
- You must not record, restream, or reproduce the livestream or VOD (including screen recording), except where allowed by law.
9) User content (messages, questions, submissions)
If you post messages or questions in chat or submit content:
- you remain the owner of your content
- you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, and store it for operating and promoting the event (for example showing questions on-screen, moderation, and keeping event records)
- you promise you have the right to post it and it does not infringe anyone’s rights
10) Privacy and cookies
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data. Our Cookie Policy explains cookies and consent. By using the site, you acknowledge both.
11) Availability and changes
We will take reasonable care to keep the site and services available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update or change features, scheduling, platforms, or technical delivery methods where needed.
12) Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so (including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation).
Subject to that:
- We are not liable for losses caused by factors outside our reasonable control (for example your internet provider, device failure, or third-party platform outages).
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as lost profits).
- Our total liability to you in connection with the event is limited to the amount you paid for your ticket, except where the law requires otherwise.
13) Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access (including member area and chat) if you breach these Terms. Where appropriate, we may do so without notice to prevent harm or abuse.
14) Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts in England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where consumer laws in your country require otherwise.
